This department is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases, including electrolyte disturbances and hypertension, and care of those requiring renal replacement therapy, including dialysis and renal transplantation. Patients are referred to nephrologists for various reasons, such as Acute renal failure, Chronic kidney diseases which is often discovered on routine blood chemistry done for unrelated purpose and is commonly referred to as CKD.
